Loved the Chicken Tenders, with Sauce. I wanted to try this place for a long time. Walked in the staff were super Friendly & Helpful. Mr. Cam took my order with a smile and Kayla made the order hot and fresh. I got the tenders with Mac & Cheese, sweet tea and peach cobbler. So what I gained a few pound but I went to the gym after to work it off. If you’re in the Area be sure to stop by And get the chicken which they are famous for. The store was near & Clean, Lots of Delivery drivers came in so you can order it.

Beware the Nashville is super spicy! The chicken was very moist and the tenders were huge! The coleslaw was delicious. The service was fine. We sat outside on picnics tables. Do not recommend. Order this for take out. Oh City of Chicago… maintain your sidewalks on Milwaukee Avenue this is not helping local businesses…

I’ve heard so many people rave about Roost and I was pretty disappointed. Food took 25 minutes to come out. I ordered kids tenders (I can’t finish the adult portion) and they were over cooked. Fries had a combo of soggy and crunchy but seasoned well. Mac n cheese and peach cobbler were yummy. Service was odd. We walked in and the people in the back were cussing up a storm, having a heated discussion. They kept it going as we ordered. The lady up front was on cruise control and came across as annoyed toward us. Atmosphere was average. Whatever you picture at a chicken joint is what you get there. Limited seating!

We tried the Heater on a biscuit, and it was delicious. It had the perfect heat. We also tried the 1/2 bird original, the hot tenders, the fries, the mac n cheese, the picnic corn salad, the bread pudding, and the peach cobbler. We will definitely be back.

Decent. Ordered delivery. All of the food was good. I'm sure it would have been better if I was there to receive it fresh from the kitchen. The chicken was still crispy, well seasoned. The biscuit was buttery, moist, and super crumbly. If I had it again I'd dine in.

We had traveled from Indiana to try different chicago restaurants and picked Roost to try. We had two original chicken sandwiches, one on biscuit and the other on brioche bun. Both were tasty, fresh, and quality. Service was ok, nothing wrong, young lady at the counter did not appear to be enjoying her day, and $10 for just a sandwich is a bit pricey. Lemonade was also good, but extremely sweet for our taste. Overall, great chicken sandwich.

I recently broke a self-imposed ban on fried chicken after a regrettable overindulgence left me swearing off it forever. However, my resolve crumbled when I caught wind of Roost Chicken & Biscuits, particularly their tempting peach cobbler. The temptation was too strong, and I found myself racing to the restaurant, though I had originally planned just to pick up dessert. Upon entering, the aroma wafting through the air was an immediate indication that I was in for a treat. The establishment, though small, exuded a welcoming charm. Given the limited space, I opted for takeout and placed an order for an original whole chicken (dark meat), with hot honey, habanero BBQ sauce, and chipotle buttermilk on the side. To accompany the main course, I added two biscuits, mac and cheese (which, unfortunately, was missing from my bag), and, of course, the much-anticipated peach cobbler. The drive home was filled with anticipation, and when I finally sat down to indulge, I was blown away. The chicken was nothing short of spectacular. The breading was a masterpiece—crispy, flavorful, and practically otherworldly. The crunch was satisfying, and the seasoning was perfection. The chicken itself was fresh, juicy, and effortlessly fell off the bone. Roost Chicken & Biscuits had truly outdone themselves in crafting a dish that exceeded all expectations. While the mac and cheese mishap left me disappointed, the peach cobbler, delivered exactly what I was craving. Its sweet, comforting flavors were the perfect ending to a delightful meal. Despite the small hiccup with the missing mac and cheese, I can't deny that Roost Chicken & Biscuits has won me over. The impeccable quality of their fried chicken has persuaded me to lift my self-imposed fried chicken ban. I am eager to return and explore more of their menu, confident that the overall experience will be nothing short of exceptional. Roost Chicken & Biscuits has become a newfound favorite, and I look forward to savoring their delectable offerings again soon.

Kind of obvious by the size of the spot, but this is NOT a sit down place. Definitely try and take your food to go if you can. Otherwise, the food is great. In my opinion, it's just the right spice level if you get 1 level below the max.
